Privacy Policy

RTI respects the privacy of its members and other visitors to its Web site. As such, consumers must be assured that information provided online is used responsibly and appropriately. To protect online privacy, RTI has implemented the following policy.

What Information Does RTI Collect?
Most data RTI collects are used only to help RTI better serve its members. It is our general policy to collect and store only personal information that our members and visitors knowingly provide. If our privacy policies change, we will notify all users by a special announcement placed on the Web site.

RTI does not collect any personal information from users browsing its Web site. Users to the public areas of RTI's Web site browse anonymously. Only aggregate data -- such as the number of hits per page -- are collected. Aggregate data are only used for internal and marketing purposes and do not provide any personally identifying information.

To gain access to members-only resources and personalization features on the RTI Web site and bulletin board, administrators have created a username and temporary password based on information voluntarily provided. Such information was previously submitted to RTI through membership applications and conference registration. RTIA only uses this information to enhance its services and distribution of those services to its members.

How Does RTI Use Data Collected?
RTI uses information voluntarily submitted by members and other customers in the following ways:

    1. RTI uses data collected to improve its own Web content; to respond to visitors' interests, needs and preferences; and to develop new products and services.

    2. RTI also makes member contact information available to third parties. The RTI's membership lists and various other lists are available for use. RTI reserves the right to deny the use of any RTI list if it is not in the best interest of RTI and its members. Users may request RTI to refrain from disclosing the data it collects to third parties on the membership application form, conference registration form or any other form on which they are providing information.

What Privacy Issues Arise With Links To Other Sites?
This Web site contains links to other web sites. RTI has no control over and is not responsible for the privacy policies or content of such sites.

What Means Of Redress Are Available?
If any User suspects RTI has handled its personal information in a manner that does not comply with this privacy statement, please contact us by e-mailing any RTI board member.
